OK, Next

Thanks, Ron, for getting things going. I'll go next. My reason for starting this occurred while putting the calendar together. I didn't know why some people were where they were- wanted to know why they were there. Maybe we shouldn't have to wait until the next Christmas letter arrives before we know who is where, and why. Most of you have some great things to report on, but we don't hear of them until it is history. Mike in Minn., etc. SO, take the next step and contribute. I'll go next. I shouldn't take many lines.

At this time, I'm still teaching and coaching at Davis High. I teach World Civilizations and Body Conditioning. The kids are so appreciative: It's always great at the end of the day to have so many ask if they can answer a few extra questions from the textbook or maybe run a few more laps.

Coaching: Going well. Boys won State Cross Country Championships, Girls were 2nd. My top boy runner qualified for the Foot Locker Cross Country National Championships in San Diego. Foot Locker flew him to San Diego, put him up at the Hotel del Coronado for three days, etc. Nike gave him running apparel, shoes, treated him like a king. I flew the red-eye special, stayed at Motel 6, and still had a great time. He placed 22nd out of the 205,000 boys who run Cross Country in the U.S. It was a highlight for me as there have been a few kids from Utah that have made it to the meet. I attribute a great deal of his success to me as I told him to run fast.

Track last spring: Girls won State, Boys were 3rd. Boys should have won also.

Other things: Still living in Clearfield (AKA the Ghetto). Still running- very slow. Still biking- haven't crashed in months.

Social highlight: picking up a three-plate entree at Panda Express to share with Helen on Sundays.

That's it for now. Let's see some entries that may be a little more exciting.
